Dimitrios Daskaleas d/b/a FineApps ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Intersection mobile application and Strabo desktop application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2.2 Location Information (Mobile App)

We process real-time location data including:

Real-time GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude) - analyzed in real-time, not stored
Movement speed and heading (for intersection detection)
Intersection approach and passage data (for signal verification)

Location Data Processing:

Location data is processed with 4-decimal precision (approximately 11-meter accuracy)
Real-time GPS coordinates are used for intersection detection but not permanently stored
Only intersection interaction data (approach/passage) is retained for signal verification
Heading data is grouped into 36 directional segments (10-degree increments)
Silent passage through intersections is recorded as signal agreement

2.3 Geographic Contribution Data (Strabo App)

When using Strabo, we collect and permanently store:

Processing Statistics: Countries processed, tiles completed, processing timestamps
Achievement Data: Geographer rank progression, country pioneer status, tile count totals
Public Recognition Data: Country flags, pioneer badges, leaderboard positions
Contribution Metadata: Processing duration, system performance metrics, update history

Geographic Data Processing:

All geographic contributions are cryptographically signed for authenticity
Source OpenStreetMap data is fetched in real-time, not stored locally
Processing results are validated against tamper detection systems
Country pioneer status and achievements become part of permanent public record

Geographer Rankings: Tile counts, ranks, and country contributions on leaderboards
Country Pioneer Status: Names and achievements of first contributors per country

Aggregated Statistics: Overall community contribution metrics and global coverage

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Data Storage

Primary Database: Firebase Firestore with encryption at rest
Backup Systems: Encrypted backups in multiple geographic regions
Retention Period: Active user data retained for service operation
Geographic Achievements: Permanently stored for recognition and historical record
Deletion Policy: Inactive accounts purged after 24 months of inactivity
Pioneer Status: Country pioneer achievements are permanently preserved

5.2 Security Measures

Encryption: Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)

Important Note: Country pioneer status and geographer achievements are designed to be permanent public recognition. Deletion requests will:

Remove your personal account and private data
Anonymize public achievements (replace name with "Anonymous Pioneer")
Preserve historical contribution records for system integrity
Maintain country processing results for continued service to drivers

6.3 Data Export

Export your driving contribution statistics
Download your geographer achievements and tile counts
Request summary of your account data (where required by law)
Obtain copy of countries processed and pioneer status

7. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States (Ohio). By using our Service, you consent to such transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Strabo processing occurs locally on your device before encrypted upload to our servers.
